Eisner (please say the Eisner!) shows us why he puts the “ex” in “Disney ex-CEO” by calling this strike “stupid”. “It’s a waste of their time,” Eisner said. “[The studios] have nothing to give. They don’t know what to give.” The delicious irony in this statement? These statements came during the Media and Money Conference sponsored by the Dow Jones. I guess Eisner forgot he’s the only person on the panel who frequents a soup kitchen.

According to Peter Chernin the strike gives FOX the license to test our reality show gag reflex. Hmm. I think I just came up with a FOX reality game show.

Is it on point? It depends. It parallels Jay’s American Gangster in the fact that casual rap fans won’t find anything pleasing here.  You have to dig for Cam’s gems this time around where with Come Home With Me or Confessions the quoteables were in your face. I’d love to write off “Glitter” because of it’s disturbing hook and lazy beat. But the quoteables are priceless. I don’t think Cam needed two discs to get his warning shots off (no homo). There’s alot more filler on this record than I think Cam has ever put out. I hope he bounces back on his next effort because No. 1 is a “Hot Mess”.

The second video from Lupe’s sophomore effort The Cool is nothing short of a remarkable. Matthew Santos reunites with Lupe on this haunting track. His Chris Martinesque performance didn’t take away from his overall vocal offering. Instead, he gives the track another dimension, allowing Lupe to play off of the hook with great ease. Hype Williams once again blesses the track with stunning visuals. He adds his usual amount of flash with a bit of introspection to match the remorseful tone of the song. If this is any indication of what’s in store when The Cool hits stores next month, it’s going to be a very hot winter.

Is there some sort of strike going on today? You know it’s serious when Tina Fey is marching outside 30 Rock in solidarity. Of course the real loser in all of this is you and I, the viewer. While we’re spared from the progressively dull Jimmy Kimmel monologue or the stench of failure from Gossip Girl, a fate worse than death is slowly peeking it’s head around the corner.

Another season of “DMX – Soul Of A Man”.

Okay, maybe it’s not that bad, but with the absense of writers, networks look to put more untalented chimpanzees in front of the camera long enough for you to figure out you’re not watching “24″. Will you writers, please, think of the children?

- Google hit us with the futuristic concerning it’s new mobile platform Android. Prank callers will have a field day with it’s “I’m Feeling Lucky” push-to-talk feature.

- Don’t call it a comeback, Hot Water Music has three dates far, far away from my neck in the woods. January 19th in Orlando, January 25th in Sayerville, NJ and get wasted on groundhog’s day up at the Metro in Chicago on the 2nd of February.

- Barack Obama says what we’ve all been thinking when he calls Dick Cheney “the crazy uncle in the attic”. That is going to be one awkward family reunion.

Jim Jones – “American Gangsta (Jay-Z Diss)”

Jim Jones pens another classic LiveJournal entry in the form of “American Gangsta”. He hits up the jiggaman about his new album American Gangster and why he has the audacity to be a nigga from Brooklyn reppin a movie based in Queens. Jay could respond by buying out Jones’ contract and put him out there on some Bamboozled shit, but it’s safe to say Jay will tip his hat and keep it moving. He says “goonies” a few times and I’m wondering when he’ll figure out that we’re laughing at him, not with him.
